Hello ATC Pickleball players,

Last week was our first Pickleball e-newsletter for the Austin Tennis & Pickleball Center.  However, last week we had only 20 people on our mailing list.  Thanks to your help and word of mouth, we have over doubled our updated mailing list.  With that being said, I wanted to first take a moment and introduce myself to those new to the ATPC.  My name is Lincoln Ward.  I am the Director of the Austin Tennis & Pickleball Center.  I want to welcome all of you pickleball players here to the Austin Tennis and Pickleball Center.  As most of you know, permanent pickleball lines were added here at our facility and now we offer 8 spectacularly lit, outdoor pickleball courts, available to all wanting to play and enjoy the fastest growing sport in the country. 

The weather sure rained on our parade this past weekend.  Not only did both Saturday and Sunday Open Play Events get rained out, but so did our I"ntro to Pickleball" Clinic.  We will, of course try again this week.  Make you plans to play out here this week!  Don't let that forecast scare you off.  I don't believe in rain unless I can see it.  We will not cancel unless the courts are wet. 

In last weeks email, I neglected to add the address and website to the Austin Tennis & Pickleball Center and had several inquiries as to where the ATPC is located. I have fixed that for this email.  Now that everyone can find us, I hope to hear from you all and see you out here this week at one of our several Open Match Play events.  RSVP for an event.  Come by to check out the courts.  Give us a call with suggestions on what programming you would like to see here.  Come be a part of the Austin Tennis & Pickleball community!

All Clinics have a recommended RSVP.  The RSVP is designed so we can call you in the case of inclement weather and save you a drive out or cut down on the guessing game.  We will also call you if we have less than 4 players registered.  To RSVP, simply call512-928-8119 or email lincolnward@playatctennis.com by the listed time.

Saturday Morning Competitive Open Play

Join us for a day of competitive pick-up Pickleball play here at the Austin Tennis & Pickleball Center.  Players come out a simply pick up games with other players.  We will set aside 5 courts from 10am-2pm the keep the game going.  Last Saturday was rained out but it looks like it will be beautiful this saturday.  RSVP by Friday 6pm. 

Cost:  $3.00 / Player

When: Saturday Mornings 10am-2pm

Join us for a day of recreational pick-up Pickleball play here at the Austin Tennis & Pickleball Center.  Players come out a simply pick up games with other players.  We will set aside 5 courts from 10am-2pm the keep the game going.  Last Sunday was rainny and this sunday is looking grey but who listens to the stinkin forecast anyways.  RSVP by Saturday 6pm. 

Cost:  $3.00 / Player

When: Sunday Mornings 10am-2pm

Join us for an evening of competitive pick-up Pickleball play under the best lights in Austin.  Players come out and simply pick up games with other players.  We will set aside 5 courts from 6pm-9pm for open playgoing.  Last Sunday was rainny and this sunday is looking grey but who listens to the stinkin forecast anyways.  RSVP by Monday 2pm. 

Cost:  $3.00 / Player

When: Monday Evening 6:00-9:00pm

Movies on the Backboard

Come out and join us for this FREE Event hosted weekly in the Spring and enjoy an evening under the Stars every friday night.  Bring your lawn chairs or a blanket.  Bring the family.  Play some Pickleball while you are at it.  Concessions are available at the Pro Shop.
